This kantha has been hand stitched and is made from recycled fabrics. Colourful and patterned patches are attached as the quilts wear over time, to create a unique, textured story that has evolved over decades.
Minor flaws and frays are to be expected, and add to the depth and beauty of the piece.
This particular kantha has been reworked into a reversible jacket, recreated right here in cape town by a talented team of local seamstresses.
