Founded in 2012, Better Half began as a vintage clothing line rooted in nostalgia and quiet beauty. In 2017, we opened our first store in Observatory, Cape Town; a calm, curated space dedicated to thoughtful fashion and objects.
In 2019, we expanded our vision with Better Half & Friends in Johannesburg, a collaborative pop-up that brought together like minded brands and makers. That same year, our offering grew to include small-batch homeware and design, selected with the same care and intention.
Over a decade of travel and sourcing has shaped our approach: considered, personal, and deeply intuitive. The store became a destination for those seeking timeless pieces with story and soul.
Today, Better Half continues online as a curated resale platform for high-end and luxury second-hand fashion. While our physical doors have closed, our philosophy endures. We believe in pieces that last, treasures passed on, not discarded. Each item is chosen with discernment and offered with care.
